Dear Island Park Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

It is my pleasure to welcome all of our students, families, faculty, and staff to another exciting year in the Island Park Union Free School District.

Together, we begin another school year dedicated to inspiring curiosity, fostering meaningful relationships, and helping every student achieve their fullest potential. Our talented faculty and staff remain committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child is known, valued, and challenged to grow.

As we enter the third year of our 2024–2029 Strategic Plan, we will continue building upon the strong foundation established over the past two years. Our Learner Profile remains at the heart of this work, guiding our efforts to develop students who are adaptable, resilient, innovative, effective communicators, responsible decision-makers, critical thinkers, and compassionate contributors to their communities. These characteristics, combined with strong academic instruction, will help prepare our students for success both inside and outside the classroom.

Throughout the year, our schools will continue to provide rich learning experiences that encourage creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and personal growth. We remain committed to supporting the academic achievement and social-emotional well-being of every student while ensuring that our classrooms are places where all children feel a sense of belonging.

The partnership between our schools and families is one of our district's greatest strengths. Your involvement, encouragement, and support play an invaluable role in your child's success. I encourage you to stay connected through our district website, newsletters, email communications, and our social media platforms, where we will continue to share important information, celebrate student accomplishments, and highlight the many outstanding things taking place throughout our schools.
