Island Park Parents' Bill of Rights
Parents have the right to have complaints about possible breaches and unauthorized disclosures of PII addressed. Complaints may be directed to Tami McElwee, Assistant Superintendent, 516-434-2600, tmcelwee@islandparkschools.org, 99 Radcliffe Avenue, Island Park, NY 11558. Complaints can also be directed to the New York State Education Department online at http://nysed.gov/data-privacy-security, by mail to the Chief Privacy Officer, New York State Education Department, 89 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12234 or by email to privacy@nysed.gov or by telephone at 518- 474-0937.
A report of unauthorized data disclosure can be submitted by a parent/guardian or parents/guardians of a student, an eligible student (a student who is at least 18 years of age or attending a postsecondary institution at any age), principals, teachers, and employees of an educational agency.
