Island Park Parents' Bill of Rights
Parents have the right to have complaints about possible breaches and unauthorized disclosures of PII addressed. Complaints may be directed to Dr. Alison Offerman-Celentano, Assistant Superintendent, 516-434-2600, acelentano@islandparkschools.org, 99 Radcliffe Avenue, Island Park, NY 11558. Complaints can also be directed to the New York State Education Department online at http://nysed.gov/data-privacy-security, by mail to the Chief Privacy Officer, New York State Education Department, 89 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12234 or by email to privacy@nysed.gov or by telephone at 518- 474-0937.
A report of unauthorized data disclosure can be submitted by a parent/guardian or parents/guardians of a student, an eligible student (a student who is at least 18 years of age or attending a postsecondary institution at any age), principals, teachers, and employees of an educational agency.
